Bounce Dryer Bar: A Review

It’s no secret that doing laundry is not high on my “Things I Love To Do” list. In fact, it happens to hold steady on my “Things That Feel Like Legalized Torture” list right in between cleaning toilets and painting. Remember this picture?

When a person hates laundry, she tends to put it off until it turns into this...

Right. It’s safe to say that the laundry and I are not BFFs. But, like anyone else, I have a family that prefers wearing clean clothes on a daily basis and my husband, for some odd reason, will not include buying new clothes and getting rid of the dirty ones into our monthly budget.

Weird, huh?

So anytime I hear of any product that has the potential to make doing laundry even one step quicker/cheaper/easier, I’m all game for giving it a try. Which is why I was pleased to try out the Bounce Dryer Bar.

In the grand scheme of doing laundry, pulling out a dryer sheet and tossing it in with the clothes is not that great of a time suck. However, the Bounce Dryer Bar, by eliminating the need to reach for a dryer sheet, has given me one less thing to think about and as a busy Mom with a 100 thousand things on my mind, that actually provides a tremendous amount of freedom. With the Bounce Dryer Bar, all you do is peel the backing off of what feels like a big bar of soap then stick it inside your dryer and voila! Laundry just got one step easier. It’s simple, convenient and automatic. There may also be a cost benefit as the dryer bar will last up to four months leaving your clothes smelling fresh, feeling soft and controlling static cling without the need to constantly run out for more dryer sheets.

This is the part of the review where I confess that I am actually a liquid softener kinda gal. I love how good my clothes smell when I use liquid fabric softener as opposed to dryer sheets. So I was admittedly a bit skeptical when I began using the Bounce Dryer Bar. But I needed not fear (and neither should you). The Bounce Dryer Bar not only makes my clothes smell amazing, but it also acts as an air freshener for my entire laundry room. And, oddly enough, that actually makes me enjoy doing laundry a little bit more. It’s a miracle! And look at how much my family enjoys their clothes after using the Bounce Dryer Bar!

See how happy they are? Look at their smiles!

Disclaimer: This is a paid review for BlogHer on behalf of Bounce Dryer Bar. Although I was compensated, the opinions expressed are my own, which means that yes, I actually have become that girl who gets excited about laundry products. It’s official…I’m a grown up.

Disclaimer #2: While I was not in any way swayed or coerced in my review of the product, my family was totally and completely bribed with the promise of cupcakes if they complied with my request to look like they were madly in love with their freshly cleaned clothes.

Comments

  1. I actually like to do laundry. Lol. I guess what I like last is folding the white load. :-p

  2. My least favorite part is folding and putting everything away.

  4. I like the feeling AFTER all of my laundry is done. What I dislike most however, is the size of my laundry room. Not enough room for everything.

  5. I love stuffing my machine full and magically getting clean clothes out the other end. What i hate most is the frequency that this process must occur!! 🙂

  6. What I hate the most is going down in our unfinished basement to do the laundry. It was especially hard when I was pregnant!

  7. I hate lugging it all out to the garage (where the machines are), doing it (usually too hot or cold in the garage!), and putting it away. I would really like to have just one room for everyone’s clothes next to the laundry room. How great would that be!

I’m sorry but this post is so funny, you are like the pefect infomercial gal, I can see you standing there with your coiffed hair, gleaming sparkle smile and your ruffled apron, cheering us on as we try our Bounce Dryer Bar. Oh so funny 🙂

  10. I find it incredibly ironic that I was already working on my Laundry Day post when you posted yours! ha ha… So there’s one entry. And my link to your site actually worked, which is a miracle in this novice blogger’s world. Now for my least favorite part of doing laundry: Folding. I always feel such accomplishment when the laundry is done… then I remember the piles of clean wrinkled clothes awaiting me upstairs! Ahhhhhhh…

  11. I don’t mind the washing of the clothes (except for late at night when my basement scares me), but I struggle to get everything folded and put away in a timely manner. It ends up sitting in our room until I run out of laundry baskets, at which point I spend a nice chunk of time folding a week’s worth of clean clothes. Once I’m doing it I don’t mind it, because I usually listen and sing along to music and it becomes a bit therapeutic… it’s just the getting around to it that’s hard.

  12. everything – i hate everything about doing the laundry:)

  13. ironing, so i don’t do it
thanks also for a chance to win!

  14. My least favorite part is folding. BUT, I did buy my engineer hubby a t-shirt folder and now he can make his t-shirts into perfectly symmetrical sizes and enjoys doing so! 🙂

I would LOVE to try the dryer bar!

  15. My least favorite part of laundry is folding and putting the clothes back to dressers and shelves. I’m too short to reach some of the top shelves and always needed help. LOL

  16. our house is SO tiny, I have a lundry closet – not even a room…thus (such a big word) I REALLY Detest the piles of dirty laundry taking up space outside the closet….but what I REALLY REALLY hate….folding the clean clothes and putting them away….on any given day there are piles of clean clothes on my couch – just sitting there for some laundry fairy to come fold them and put them away for me…hasn’t happened yet…but Maybe if they smelled Yummy fresh from a FREE bounce dryer ball, I’d be slightly more tempted to sit and fold! 🙂

  17. I don’t mind doing laundry at all, but I have difficulty making myself get it started. Once it’s in, I’m all set.

  18. i hate folding it when it’s done

  19. I hate having to put it away.
