I took the kids to see Santa yesterday. We haven’t been to see Santa Clause since Sloan was 18 months old and responded like this:
He was terrified after that year and I just didn’t have the heart to force him to sit on Santa’s lap again. And because he was so scared, Tia was scared and freaked out if we even got near a guy in a big red suit. So, it’s been several years. This year, however, Sloan is very into the idea of Santa. He’s so concerned about our fireplace and tells us everyday to make sure and turn the fire off on Christmas Eve to make sure Santa doesn’t get burned. And yesterday, when I told him that we were going to see Santa, he was thrilled. And, of course, Tia followed his lead and got excited too. They both leapt up on Santa’s lap and told him what they wanted – Sloan an excavator set, Tia a dollhouse – then smiled bright for the picture. Poor sweet Landon, however, did not enjoy it as much as they did…
Seeing Santa

Why are young children so afraid of Santa. Maybe because he’s just a stranger for them. Poor Landon… But I think he will be more excited next year. The picture is great. I love your three blondies.
It’s amazing how Tia takes her cues from Sloan. 😀
Poor dear Landon. He is crying so HARD in that pic. But I’ll bet the other 2 talk about seeing Santa for a while. 🙂
I can’t believe Sloan didn’t say anything to us today. Brooke was telling him in the car this am about how she saw santa, he didn’t mention, they are funny, huh. They are down in the basement right now…..um, beware, Brooke and he painted their fingernails a very pretty pink!!!
I am so proud of Sloan and Tia for talking to Santa. Poor sweet Landon. It may be another 5 years before he will talk to Santa. Can’t wait to see you all. It was a beautiful day in Clearwater today. Walked the beach this evening and watched the sunset at the Sandpearl.
So cute! Are they not letting you use your own cameras this year either? What is up with that, how can they say you can’t use your personal camera isn’t it sponsered by the mall?
Thanks for letting me peek into your Christmas. Today was my first blog update in over 3 months! My life has been full. Even now the baby is screaming. Just trying to ignore him and see how long he can go for. Poor little tiger-boy. Love to you all!
Ever since we got robbed when we went to see Santy Baby a couple of years ago we have not been back. It was 30 Smack-a-Roonies to get the photo-op. We’re too cheap for that bizz-niss.
OK, how ghetto can I sound on a comment? I think I’m doing pretty good!
Oh yeah, not to mention the fact that you have to pay for therapy after.
Thanks for posting this. Doing this had slipped our minds with all that’s been going on. Thanks for the reminder. We’re all doing well just trying to keep everyone healthy, which is hard for Ryder. We’re ok on meals. Mike (jokingly) said Lee could bring him some “wings.” Thank you.
